10 Hints To Stop Forgetting To Drink Water!
People, we need to drink water:
- To cleanse the body of wastes
- To regulate our body temperature
- To lubricate and cushion joints
- To protect the spinal cord and other sensitive tissues
CDC
said so!
However, we know a guy who knows a guy who simply forgets to drink water,
even with reminders! Some people may be great with that reminders thing,
but others simply cannot keep up, and that's okay, actually.
What to do?
-
How do you feel about setting yourself a water drinking goal? Keep in
mind the WHO recommends women consume 90 ounces of fluids per day and 125 for men.
Your liquid needs are based on your lifestyle, so it’s possible you
should actually drink more or less than that.
-
Carry a bottle of water with you and keep one on your desk. Try having
it in front of your eyes when you're working or studying. You’ll be
reaching for it from time to time, trust us.
-
Try drinking water when dining out from time to time. You will save
money and support your hydration efforts.
-

Opt for plain water instead of sweetened beverages. It's smart for
sugar consumption and you will consume fewer calories.
-
Adding some lime, lemon, or mint to your water brings some flavor and
saves you from the boredom of drinking plain water ALL THE TIME!
-
How about taking a sip of water now and then throughout the day. You may
not want a whole glass, but a sip is okay.
-
Try drinking a glass of water before meals, and stick to it if it’s that
your thing.
- Give reminders a second chance.
-
Do you like cabbage? It's 92% water, y'know. Eating some high in
water foods may replace that water sip. However, don’t get too obsessed
with this little cheat, okay?
Forgetfulness is not a sin. We’re all humans, right? Think of it this way:
you are doing your best every day to supply your body with enough water.
